Yes. It WOULD make sense to put something like that in the ships description; something that's already been suggested, raised, discussed and I believe approved for the next update.

However, it's worth noting that one does not simply go and "buy a ship". A ship is one facet of the jigsaw that makes up a Discovery character.
A discovery character requires RP, a ship, weapons, IDs, and other equipment. All these equipment must match for a character to be "in RP".

Either you RP an AI character, and bought the AI cruiser before getting the ID (which is fine...ask the admins for an AI ID)...or....you chose an inapproprate ship in the first place.
