we could be fair and make it so that every ship doesn t regen while cruising, no matter if its a light fighter, a gunboat, a cruiser of a battleship.

a fighter still regens faster when it exists cruise, a bomber a bit slower ( no cruise > turn > supernova if you started low on energy )

a problem is also that the retreat rule is hardly ever obeyed...

i have seen many veteran faction players & non-factionized players ( newbies as well as veterans ) that do NOT leave the system on the frelling fastest way possible - but keep staying in the system, chatting. ( happens a lot in delta )

if retreated players really left on the shortest way possible, not interfering with others in that system anymore, hiding somewhere ( which makes sense in RP, but is frustrating for those that chased you away ) - ppl wouldn t resort to cruising to "finish" you anymore.
