In this scenario, the ammo count in the game is raised to a large number. For the sake of argument lets say the limit is pushed to, 200. Two hundred.
This ammo limit will cause all missiles, countermeasures, torpedoes and mine ammo limit to hit the two hundred mark. Now let us discuss the implications and possible effects on the server regarding this raised bar.
In my opinion, I can see battles in the server becoming, obviously a lot longer and will ask for pilots, lone or otherwise to prepare for a long fight and possible bad fingers and wrists, as battle even now, can last up to an hour depending on pilot skill level. (My longest is 40 ish minutes).
With that in mind, it may, wait all right will push the missile users up since they have a larger ammo bank to play with, but in the defence the countermeasures are raised too. So this part is hit and miss.
But the bad thing I can see right now, is the PvP length. Battles are long enough as is, and increasing the time they take may be detrimental, but larger ammo counts could in some cases speed up since there would be more missiles and mines to play with.
But this will also force some people to be much much more careful with their money, since ammo means costs. Every loss will be costly, every battle will cost. So the larger picture of this scenario is grey to me. I have no idea what may happen.
