Nevertheless, do not let yourself be bossed around, and stand up for your rights as an independent if you do find that you are being unjustly restricted.

Don't give people ideas, because, as a citizen of the best place in the world to Sue for Happiness, I can safely say they're going to descend on the remnants of the great empires the factions used to have and tear them open yet again. The factions don't do that stuff, they never really did, and don't pretend the factions could get away with it if they wanted.
