Yeah I understand that Kusari and GMG should put the Okinawa system on the table about discussions on perhaps the gate. But my RP responces will be the appropriate one; stubborn and fiercely independant. Even the rumours of KNF and KSP show that GMG very much asserts it's sovereignty and doesn't take orders from any form of Kusari leadership. There is even one specifically saying that the KNF doesn't come into our space to deal with pirates because of the often difficult diplomacy New Tokyo has with the fiercely independant guild. I, as Lotek pointed out, am re-enacting that RP in my Diplomacy when faced with a threat to our sovereignty (these threats are not always militant in nature). I came across this thread whan I got off work and between the PM's in my in-box, the realization that it's truly and errantly believed that Okinawa (and all GMG space) is under Kusari rule, and the obvious OOC declaration by Jien that he will not acknowledge any of the infocards or long established in-game RP that GMG is sovereign meant it's time for me to come and draw the line OOC.
We aren't arguing that we should be soverein, oh no. We are arguing that we never lost our sovereignty in the first place. All we received so far was a bunch of words by an Emporer that isn't ours.
The results at the diplomatic table would not involve the cessation of any space. The 530 somewhat years that GMG has been independant, the fact that they would fight so bitterly for 80 years against an entire Army and win while losing half their numbers, and being able to scatter the Wilde fleet that stormed through the Sigmas after occupying Kusari and off to stop the purge in Rheinland, all leads me to believe strongly that they would never even think for second that any of their space will go in the hands of a house. GMG would force the house into choosing whether or not to just leave them be or invade (there are more sinister types of invasion that doesn't include the Navy). Take your pick.
