I had just purchased a Loki for myself, in an attempt to pass the time and try and regain the flying skills of my youth, and learn about the new Asgard line of ships, and was on the Vogtland docking platform tuning it up when I run across the XO of the Varyag. We'd struck up an acquaintance recently so we decided to go out on a patrol, me taking my old Sabre, him his gunship Panther.
We were just patrolling the Giftnebel, talking about the good old days, when we picked up a patrol on the outskirts of the nebel. We went to investigate, and found a little military wing doing their own patrol. A gunboat under the command of a Nikolaus Otto, and two fighters in support, one of which was that huge new fighter/bomber thing. Well you know how it is, obviously a fight broke out.
It was a great success. We focused on the gunboat first, and despite me taking a few missile hits, it did eventually go down, and then the Panther and I made short work of its escorts.
I still haven't gotten used to this guncamera thing, so you'll have to forgive the lack of pictures, but if you want to hear more about it, I'll be repairing my Sabre or working on my Loki at the Vogtland docks over the next few days.
