Shows either that they rp only when needed and if needed or that they arent interested or arent respecting older rps of other people.
Being "indie" doesen't mean you do not effect other's rps and vise versa.
Where are those twenty names?
I am here to RP. Prove that I am not here for that purpose simply because I do not have some of my capital ships registered.

I mean, I friggin' know that you can come up with a short RP post in the length of a couple of lines in less than 5 minutes. So why not do so?
Why should the many indies that RP not be a role-model for the newer players?
Same as some factions serve as a role-model to certain groups, same thing can be applied here.
I just get disappointed whenever I see people fighting against things that'd actually help the server as a whole. And it doesn't hurt you one single bit.
If you can spend dozens and hundreds of hours on chars, you sure can take 5 minutes of your time to register in a thread. Just post something, anything.
And anyways, the whole problem lies just there, as Sindroms said, with people that RP in system chat juuuuust enough to avoid a sanction, but generally act like amazing douchebags on a daily basis, not taking anyone else into consideration.
I for example one day sit somewhere in space with one of my chars, doesn't matter which kind, and I get some random cruiser, dessie, or battleship who throws in a little engagement notice and then proceeds to kill me before I can utter a single word of RP.
And when that happens, I am thrown out of that system and char for four hours, and I got nothing in return.
I don't really mind losing that much, believe me or not, but I hate losing when I've not even been given the chance to start playing.
Frankly, you were not around when launches of my OC Destroyer resulted in the Spanish Inquisition occuring outside Planet Malta. I have no idea how many independent capital ships you fly, so let me ask you, have you been told by a faction that you are simply a capwhore, in-game? (Or ironically, other independents who deliver an e-apple to factions every day.)
It is a point of principle and practicality. I have more than a page of RP for most of my capital ships, if you are too lackadaisical to read it, then you are not competent enough to run a registry, and you are definitely not qualified enough to tell me that I do not have enough RP, that I am a capwhore or a blight on this server.
Furthermore, let us continue with the frankness. Why do I need forum RP? Is it a prerequisite to playing on the server? The rigidity that is displayed by some of those who want mandatory registrations is ridiculous, it has been said again and again that registration with a paragraph of who I am does not work. In fact, I see the same posts going back and forth, simply with some words changed here and there. The same posts that would have been typed around a year ago. Not to mention in-game RP is greater than forum RP. The forum was meant to supplement RP, not be the whole source of it.
I have seen what happens with capital ship registries, and I do not think it would help the server, as a whole.
Congratulations on getting killed with some minute engagement notice. I played before the engagement warning rule was brought in, when I would start to type something and they would start firing because for some arcane reason that is barely rooted in RP, that is, because they believed me to be KOS.
