There a combination or factors which make the Rheinland bomber such a potent weapon.
1. Small size
2. Large power supply
3. Excellent maneuverability
4. Heavy armour
5. Heavy weapons

Each on their own are not to bad but the combination together makes it difficult to tackle by most ships.

If it were larger than a Taidan(closer to gunboat size), it wouldn't be quite so bad.
As it is, you're lucky to hit it in the first place. Then even if you can hit it, chances are it'll take you out before you can deal with it, in any ship other than a light fighter. Even in a light fighter, there's every chance the one shot kill will hit at some point.

For it's small size, I would expect less firepower and armour than what it has.
