"Last night in liberty a young man flying a civilian ship with civilian weapons shot down Jimmy Patterson from the [1st] legion of liberty defence in an attempt to reclaim a gambling debt. Following the retreat of jimmy patterson the young man then proceeded to attack the LN who at the time were assembled en masse to deal with an uprising by the xeno alliance.The young man displayed no sign of fear however a dreadnought and cruiser patrol intervened and his ship was hit with the main gun from the dreadnought. The escape pod tracked directly to huntsville."

Aboard the escape pod:

Autopilot on the young mans escape pod locked onto the nearest available station. In a system full of possible escapes the autopilot in its wisdom decided the safest place for the young man called Sparta was....Huntsville texas. The autolocked destination meant Sparta was captured by his own civilian escape pod.

Under investigation:

Sparta was subjected to a number of indignities including a rough interrogation as to his origins and motives. A subject Sparta had been seeking clarification on since he woke up in the solaris station in the Omegas. Memory had been an inconsistent and unreliable feature of his personality. The nurses on solaris said he had been shot down by an unknown source somewhere near solaris station. Why or who he was flying for was still a mstery. Unable to deliver the answers his jailers sought the young man was tortured until they were convinced he was telling the truth.

An unknown friend:

A note slipped under the door of his cell. Sparta in a passive mood read the intriguing note.
"Sparta I knew your father well. He was imprisoned here several time. I know you are his son I have compared the DNA samples from him against your own. I came to be good friends with your father in the times he was here, very very good. Each time I met him some limb or organ had been replaced by cybernetics but he always showed respect to me because of my profession. He said that without doctors like me he would have been dead a dozen times. Your father Sparta. Is Gentle the pirate. You are a son of the Omega Pirates Guild and your father is....or was I should say one of the most feared men in sirius. I am holding onto this information for a while. The DNA analysis report will be stalled. I heard some friends are coming for you. Dont forget to wire me my...release fee when you have made your fortune young man."

Sparta noted the name. Doctor Helen O'Brien. Chief medical officer of LPI Huntsville. Dumbstruck the boy wondered who was coming for him. Shrugging his shoulders the boy lay back on the cold pallet and awaited his rescuers. Today would be interesting it seemed. Sparta tried his hardest to remember this Gentle and the OPG. Only reputation about the pirates was there. what kind of man was his father? What about other family did he have. What did anyone need to rescue him for. Was it his father coming to save his son?

\\ To all LN and Liberty lawfulls. Please arrange a welcoming committee for the OPG skirmish force coming to texas. This is not going to be an invasion and the OPG will only be bringing a small force consisting of a few fighters and bombers and maybe 1 gunboat. The objective here is RP rather than al all out battle. Sparta will escape from huntsville in a stolen civilian eagle and he will be attempting to break out of Liberty space to bering. The obejective for the LN is to stop him escaping and defend the system from the invading pirate force. This event will take place at 5pm GMT. Good luck and great RP to all taking part.
