The Liberty Navy conducts experiments on Nomads.
The Guard ID states that they can move about in the Omicrons.
They are the most powerful house in Sirius with large clandestine organisations within it that want powerful weaponry and technology and the Omicrons are full of mysteries that are possibly full of goodies.

While I don't see a Liberty faction pew-pewing Nomads for the sake of 'containment', I can see them easily supporting a group that is out to obtain advanced technology with any means possible. The Nomads are an alien species for god sake, they are a mysterious force on the edge of Sirius that has brought Humanity to the brink of total war already.
Why would ANY of the houses, let alone Liberty, just simply sit back and wait for it to happen again?


If we are going to argue about 'stealing' RP here just because they want to fight Nomads then we might as well remove the Lane Hackers, the Xenos and all the other unlawful groups that copy the basic 'Kill Liberty lawful' or 'Kill Kusari lawful' etc.
Yes basing an entire faction on the basis of fighting nomads is a bit like re-inventing the wheel as already said but when it comes rom a completely different background then it can be very very different.

The proposal does need changing in a good few parts though.
You cannot assume that everyone will be chummy to you so I would suggest at least stating that the proposed diplomacy is very subject to change depending on server incidents etc (As all diplomacy's are, just people seem to be nitpicking with this one)
Cruisers are capital ships and would probably be what I would call your 'home' base.
Use bombers/fighters mainly with few capital ships, mainly due to the sitgma around large ships but also because it's a small group in RP.
Avoid Iota as your ZoI except for very very rare exploration perhaps by fighters.
Focus less on fighting Nomads and more on research and intelligence.
