Because they don't have an endless amount of forces to throw at stuff all across Sirius. Red Hessians have in RP a much larger presence in the Omega systems than Corsairs, they are both rather balanced in their trench warfare in Omega-5, and now they are both getting hit by a Wilde invasion so hard apparently that it is making them both speak of a possible temporary cease of hostilities in Omega-5 while they deal with the aliens.
If Corsairs want to retake Casablanca, then they need to take a force from somewhere else to be able to successfully overtake the larger Hessian defense force there, so they lose presence in Eta or Omega-5 or Cambridge or Dublin... etc. etc. take a pick.
Right now the RP in Omega-47 is that the Hessians are keeping just enough forces there to hold the base from a counter attack, but not enough to completely secure the system. So what Corsairs do is they run the blockade to Omega-49 either avoiding Hessian patrols or taking them head on, and some undefined number of them makes it past the jump hole to the other side.
