The Oracles

Well, there seem to be some ambiguity surrounding it and misunderstandings. So let's clear it up before shoes gets thrown across the hall. As far as I am concerned the Oracles were made around the theme of the Shrine to which individuals are attracted all across Sirius. A leftover structure from where the Nomads came from which remains still active albeit in dormant state.

The term "independent nomad" is rather incorrect and obsolete, it's as much as independent as would be your own arm. The correct term is "trial character", as it's fairly clear specified by the ID, regardless of their players intent to join the faction or not. That's how things were made and they're not about to change for a number of reasons both roleplay and game mechanics, as I mentioned on the number of occasions, so I will not go on debates on that subject, it's not the place nor the time. So in this regard I see Oracles serving the purpose, among other things, of having those "trial" characters nourished by providing roleplay assistance, effectively filling a gap between a human to nomad character transition. And the final state would be reuniting with the rest of the pack, i.e. acquiring full Keepers membership. It isn't ideal solution nor there could be one, but it's probably the best thing there is so far and a workable one without compromising facilities and fail-safe check mechanisms made to watch over the performance of the restricted factions of which the nomad representative player faction is.

I believe the concern was raised about the situation when say a player comes in, tells he/she got a nomad morph already and asks to join, which at this point would be effectively bypassing ranks and thus pretty much avoiding the whole progression model altogether, which is the point of this faction in my personal opinion that is. What would happen then?

I had roleplay session with a few of the Oracles on my various characters, both human and nomad to see how it works from both perspectives, quite some time ago I must say, given little in-game activity and being very busy outside, but every time it was a human character whom I encountered and roleplayed with, so I don't really have an experience and thus no opinion as regards of the usage of nomad morph ships, and in what capacity they are used. I've only heard about few players in those ships just sitting outside of manhattan and chatting normally. I don't know the names or who they were, but that's, in my opinion, is an entirely wrong thing to do. If it were Oracles well that ain't good. If it were someone else - ain't good either, but that let's leave at the conscience of those who were doing so. Anyway, on those few cases I've personally had my experience with the Oracles they were positive, which is why I've been supportive of the whole thing. I hope they'll able to uphold the same quality mark of what I've seen back then.

It is fairly natural that few quirks will take some time to fix them, some will appear throughout the continuous play and some will get fixed, it's perfectly normal to go through those processes, I don't think anyone honestly can name a faction there that had no quirky moments and/or situations whatsoever, other than those that never got a liftoff from the paper state.
