I don't recommend this. I remember when I first time joined the Disco server and started from a scratch. Starting with those 8500 credits and then trading in order to buy another ship with bigger cargo hold, and then another, and another is a very important part of Freelancer's gameplay. You will learn a lot of new things, you will familiarize yourself with new places and enjoy discovering them and you will always have a purpose that will drive you forward. Simply put, you will learn what's what. Skipping this will leave you dead in a water.
Plus, I consider these starts to be the most enjoyable things in the game. I can only tell you that now I'm trading with my Adv. Train and it's about as boring as a bucket of wallpaper paste. I'm not doing it because I want to, I'm doing it because I have to. Seriously, don't do it.
Only take loans if you lose your characters because....for example you forget to log in and they get autodeleted in 40 days, or because of HW failure which is what happened to me or something like that.
