In case I didn't make it clear. We use the system because it is convenient, that is by agreement between the close to twenty or so players who have turned for the event which now runs twice weekly.

I have no problem with it being changed. None. Zero. Zip whatsoever. It suits us in RP to have the fight there as well, but we primarily chose it so we could stage battles where people could fly what they wanted in reasonable mixed fleets without getting killed by swarms of Nomad NPC's in a matter of seconds. The NPC's elsewhere are not like how they are in Delta or Minor.

If we have to find somewhere else for it then by all means we will. But don't insult the players who actually go to the effort of planning and turning up for an event by the snide remarks you've chosen to make here. If you have an alternative, by all means go ahead and propose changes.

As for our weekly "pew pew" being "Discovery changing", I imagine the same goes for the weekly battles involved in the Rheinland - Liberty war or Kusari-Bretonia war. Players have a little fun, spaceships get killed, we get to know more people and iron out misunderstandings and learn to realise that this is a game many people want to play for fun. It has been Discovery changing for a lot of people. Just cause you aren't involved in something doesn't mean it's not important.
