opening log:

Well, where to start. I heard about these logs from Jake. I thought it`d be interesting to see what was going on in Dashiell`s mind, just before he went off the deep end. Can`t say I`m sad about it. We`ve never been real close. hell, none of the Damoclass` ever speak to each other anyway.

so here I am. I`m Damian Damoclass, the captain of the newly assigned battleship... Eden
I`ll get back to that name later on...

Anyway, I`m 26, from Bretonia and the rest is none of anybody`s damn business.
The less people know about me the better. I`ve met with most of the crew. seem like an ok bunch.

they were reluctant to tell me that Dashiell was a real AUTO CENSORING INITIATED. I like to believe that I`m not like him. I think me and the other officers will get along just fine. Jake was really dissappointed but I can`t help it that they put me in charge. god knows why, after what Dashiell pulled.

been quite a while since I`ve been in the hot zone so I`m a tad rusty. it`ll come back to me soon enough though. and I have Jake`s able hand to assist me.

now, about the ship`s name. I thought Fluffy Bunny was awesome. pretty much everybody else disagreed. but in true Damoclass fashion, I didn`t give a damn what others thought. Fluffy Bunny is just too cool a name.

but... seeing as I don`t want to be a hard-ass I let the crew pick a new name. all sorts of BS (and I don`t mean battleship here) came by...

I mean, jesus.

Then Aron came up with quite the witty one. compared to my late brother, I`m being seen as quite the nice guy. so the conditions onboard have improved quite a bit. it is paradise compared to before, one of the navigators said. so Aron said: why don`t call her Eden then?

Eden, the paradise from some old religion. quite deep and philosofical I say. but hell. Eden is nice and short, makes paperwork a little more bearable eh? so hell, Eden it is.



Although I still think Fluffy Bunny was better.
