"THIS HAD BETTER BE GOOD SINCE I DAMN WELL DONT NEED ANYMORE PROBLEMS"

shouted McNeo as he smashed the public comms console with his fist.

He had only finally acnowledged the transmission after he wfelt he was sober, but this reaction to a superior meant that it was clear to everyone around him that he was not.

"I DONT CARE WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO CAMBRIDGE, WE BOMBED IT AND DECIMATED A WHOLE ISLAND REMEMBER?!?!"

a response which sounded muffled to the Corsairs around McNeo made his expression change. There was a pause and then..

"Oh. I'll be right there...sorry about that sir"

Immediatly, the Corsairs started asking to know what had happened to Cambridge, but McNeo sillently walked too the cockpit of his Spatial.

Most of the Corsairs were so keen on finding out what had happened in the attack that those with pilotable ships followed. After alot of bugging on the comms by the Corsairs, McNeo muttered into the comms console:

"Get some medical supplies, use my money if you have too, but just buy them. And food. And water."

Some of the larger ships turned back, and all of the Corsairs had puzzled expressions on their faces.

Suddenly, a Hessian battlegroup came into sensor range, heading for the Cambridge jump hole. both sides made a move to intercept one another but, as if ice had broken...

"BOTH SIDES, DISENGAGE NOW!! IF YOU HESSIANS ARE GOING TO CAMBRIDGE TO HELP, WE ARE TOO!! IF ANY OF YOU FIRE A SINGLE SHOT, SO HELP ME I'LL KILL YOU ALL!!!"

With that, and an audible sigh of resignation, both sides mixed and headed towards Cambridge. Upon jumping, the massive group travelled towards Cambridge. As they came out of the ice cloud, most gasped and some looked away as they all saw somthing they knew was terrible. They saw a third of the planet sporting a black scar upon its side. No one cried.

"And there, ladies and gentlemen, is Planet Cambridge. Do you want to know who did this. Well, i didnt, but i was told anyway. Those that we call 'The Phantoms'. I know you, the Corsairs, have been trying to seize this system for years, but now you see the blind terror that these Phantoms cause. I have worked with Phantoms before; i know their cold-bloodedness.Now, you do too."

The group set down at Admiral Olsav's transmitted coordinates to find bodies littering the ground...everywhere there were people, innocents, with burns and internal scarring. Most were dead, but some who were near that stage were gurgling up peices of their own lungs.

McNeo caught site of his Admiral, and prepared for the dressing down he was about to recieve...
