Seriously though, I agree with that point. As someone stated elsewhere, in many areas indie players are the majority and are often far more active in some regions than there official counterparts, why should they not have a voice.


I also agree on the Cap ship issue. Which will sound a bit odd as I am the indie pilot of an an outcast dessie. I chose this ship not through a desire to be an all powerful pew pew whore, or to go park it outside Erie to make newbs worship me, but simply because, as many can confirm, I absolutely suck in fighter sized craft. I simply do not enjoy using fighters for that reason alone and if I was forced to fly one I would no doubt seek a different server or just stick to trader. I could just of easily purchased a BS or Dread, but did not. Also the ship fits my chosen Rp, I am an outcast guard and I take the RP seriously. My ship very rarely leaves OC space and spends most of its time policing the approaches to malta. Its size is there as a deterrent more than a statement.
But as swift noted, there are large number of capships appearing all over and they are not being policed in any way. This week I have had numerous reasons to pull up OC indie pilots who, upon gaining there OC ID have rushed off to buy a dessie without even bothering to earn Guard ID. I believe there was an indie OC dread reported in Breton space making a nuisance of himself, even though I think that is strictly forbidden by the Dons at present (maybe wrong). There are capships everywhere now, and they are mostly being flown by people with very little idea of what they should be used for and indeed what they are capable of (or not). i guess one solution may be to apply a license to all capships, not just the BS.
