Brief History...


...It was 815A.S. Renowned Psychiatrist and Philosopher, Sherman Audley walked up confidently to the stand facing the 5,000 audience members. He set his papers down and began.

"First, I thank you for coming to the Thirty-First Annual Cambridge Medical Association Seminar of Current Medicine."

"Today, I want to focus on the population of Sirius today, rather than Cambridge."

"This is a picture of Leeds. Currently this system is being run down not only by the planetary war, but the savage BMM who continues to exploit the planet for minerals. In this photo you can clearly see the quality of lifestyle to be lived on Leeds. It was this and several other scenes that inspired me to start a wonderful program. However, before I carry on I would like to show you another picture."

"For decades, the situation of Crete has rapidly declined. Food, like always, is now scarcer than ever. From Stuttgart, we brought supplies to this very desperate populous. We fed children who would have otherwise perished like the tens of thousands of citizens on Crete every day."

"Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to explain to you my newest project; The Aid Network of Sirius. We are dedicated to promoting the well being of every person in Sirius...."


What the ANS does exactly....


The operation of the Aid Network of Sirius can be divided into three distinct areas...

• Humanitarian Missions
  
• Rehabilitation

• Medical Coverage
  
• Providing an Occupation
  

Humanitarian Missions:

This will include taking said supplies to said destinations...

Water-Leeds
Food-Crete
Refugees-Safer Haven (Freeport 2 or otherwise)
Supplies-Planet Harris

and so on...

Rehabilitation:

Apart of the ANS HQ on Cambridge is the Rehabilitation Wing of the Audley Hospital. It has a special staff to deal with people who suffer from addiction from various substances, most notably Cardamine.

The ANS staff is working closely with Cryer Pharmaceuticals (Needs Confirmation) on a non-threatening alternative to Cardamine that would help patients wing themselves off of the drug.

Education:

2. Socialization
   

1. General Education-

Education will be provided to those who do not have/had the means to attend a normal source of learning.
*Criminals in the Socialization Program will be automatically enrolled.

2. Socialization * Criminal only

As a venture to reduce the amount of repeat offenders in Sirius prisons, Audley started the Socialization Program. Effectively, it takes criminals who would be incarcerated, and moves them to our special facility on Cambridge. We buy the criminals off of police, and resocialize them in order to turn them into a productive member of society. The return rate of these offenders is only 27%, as opposed to the 70+% return rate of most systems in Sirius.

Clause 1a. : One may also apply for the program on free will. An example of this would be a women enrolling so she can send money back to her children.

Medical Coverage:

All persons in need of medical care, will be provided for.

Providing an Occupation:

Many, jobless and those enrolled in the Socialization program will be able to apply for a job in one of Cambridge's largest companies, Audley Infrastructure. This company employs a vast majority of the jobless and also provides a positive work environment and experience for those going through the Socialization project.
