The logic in that is strange. The argument goes like this:
They'll lend us a Cruiser, therefore they'll give us men and supplies as well.
And this proves that the Cruiser will be lent ? I think getting a Cruiser from the Council would be, and I'm still being extremely optimistic, very difficult. Council don't love the Brigands much. They aren't unfriendly, but it's still far from giving out capital ships. Giving them personnel and regular supplies on top of that ... let's say that if someone in the Council approved that, I would have his quarters searched for hallucinogenic drugs. The Council are stretched themselves, they are holding with all their strength and it's still not really enough.
