Baltar, are you only allowed to sanction people if you are on a specific character? I know for a fact that the admins are not invincible to sanctions (search for Caylith, BULLDOGNK in the sanction thread) and also that they do not sanction without a screenshot. A while back I was on my Arms Dealer (IND tagged incidentally) and someone blew me up with no engagement notice, with a cruiser. While Hood saw it, he forgot to get screenshots, and I was so angry that I did aswell. We couldn't sanction the guy.

Also, IND RP is not dictated by admins. Go and search the forums, and you will find most of the RP was made before the admins ever became admins.

Finally, any IND that threatened you with "leave me alone, I have a ton of admins in my faction" should have his name forwarded to Hoodlum, as that is unacceptable in my opinion. I have said this before: do not base a faction on one individual. Come meet the Sethy sometime and the children can hurl insults at you.

Seth ... I know BULLDOGNK and Caylith ... I've been here a LONG time ... maybe longer than you. Caylith and I used to but heads over RM. BULLDOGNK and I got along just fine ... he was an ally running NovaPG. And yes ... I was here when they received their sanctions. As I've said earlier in this thread (go scroll back a bit) ... admins have changed over a few times in the last year or two. Many of the admins today were just regular members like myself.

As for the IND situation ... I've long gotten over that. It happened probably a good year and a half to two years ago. You were probably not a member of IND at the time ... and yes ... many of those in IND now were not admins at the time. My comments in this thread are not one of accusation as much as they are of caution. Read that again ... my comments are out of "caution." We do not want any faction getting too big a head on their shoulders that they think they're above the rules. And that includes IND. Just because they have a "long standing" role play doesn't mean they can do as they please. Read that word again ... CAUTION ... NOT accusation.

Baltar, please don't stray too far into the waters of Trial by Forum. If you had that problem with an IND member, you should have reported it (to either admins or faction leaders) and not use it to bash the faction now.

Trial by forum ... this is not trial by forum. I've purposefully left out the name of the guilty for the express purpose of NOT starting a trial. Its a point that you need to watch out that your membership doesn't go thinking they are exempt from the rules. And since this happened SOOO long ago ... and the rules were quite different back then ... I never filed a report.

Just a very swift note to drop into this. If I saw any member of the IND using the "but we got a lot of admins in the faction so suck it down" approach to things, then I'd stamp on their hands. It's not the only faction to have a high population of admins in it. Hell. The XA currently contains three, and again if I saw any member of my faction using that as some form of leverage then they'd be slung out faster than you could blink.

Happened long ago ... don't even know if you were around back then. And this was long before XA showed up. This was in the days of the Southern Alliance (SA). Heck ... TBH, OPG, XA and any others didn't even exist. This was also when there was a large "active" population of the Coalition ... funny ... haven't seen any of them around lately.

Just to re-iterate it, if any non-admin or Admin member of the IND ever tries to use the Admins as leverage to avoid any RP, be it piracy or any other, and I will beat them with the full weight of whatever can be thrown at them.

Del ... very very few of the current admin team were admins at the time. And some probably weren't even members of Disco yet. Rules were different, admin team was different ... admins in factions was and is common ... got no issue with that. I just wanna urge some caution here that just because you've got a large population of admins and because your faction's been around a long time ... it doesn't mean you are always right.

I just wish I'd received the same respect when my faction was flying about. Can't do anything about it now ... all in the past. But I'm slowly considering bringing my faction back. One character from that faction already exists on Disco ... and he's receiving the same old crap my faction got back then ... unacceptance. Few people here have any inkling of imagination. This is why my faction departed to beyond the Omicrons. My character has returned ... and is conducting surveillance of Sirius ... to see if attitudes have changed. You might have read about it ... but then ... most likely not. But here's the link ... Atalawohisdi.
