Sean was born to two dockworkers on Trenton outpost in 785 A.S. Julius and Amy Conrad. Growing up his family was was taken care of by Universal Shipping but on a station like this Sean spent a lot of his time, after school, on Trenton exploring with his two friends Jake, and David. They explored the docking bays and stumbled across their first encounter with the Xeno's. Universal Shipping has long been rumored to be a source of funding and resources, but Sean accidentally fell out of the shaft and was caught by the Universal guards, who threatened to make his death look as an accident, but the Xeno stopped them and told them, "If you kill him you make this movement look no better than those in charge of the government, no let me talk to him", the Xeno went on to tell him, "son you shouldn't be here, I won't tell anyone if you remember this, Xeno's are not the bad guys they are made to be", and wit that he let Sean go home.
Sean grew up always hearing about the Xeno's, and the atrocities that they committed, but always remembered the words of the man he had met. He witnessed the Order attack the Rhineland envoy in 800 AS and that left a mark on him, that people do things that need to be done even if people think it is wrong.
His parents worked hard to provide him a good education on Manhattan, and went to college as a business major. He excelled though he was actively involved in a political group on campus in protested the government policies. Twice he was arrested for disturbing the the peace, and realized that the government had to much power to shut down the voice of the people or over the media to explain away what the protest really was about. So he began to push to reorganize the group and made many enemies until it was him and only five others. Two were later arrested for cardimine possession another disappeared. Sean found himself all alone. The police told him to tread softly if he wanted to retain what freedom he had. He would not realize what the officer meant until later in life.
Because of his record he was unable to find a good job after finishing school, even though the government said there would be jobs for all college graduates, but not if you had any opposition to the government. He found a job working onboard a Universal Shipping Train and many times was pirated by Rogues and Hackers. He began to understand the difference between the pirates and Xeno's, the pirates pirated because they were to lazy to work to build society, the Xeno's fought to survive and to change the government to improve society. After working his way through channels he found a way to get a message to the Xeno's on his interest to join, without risk directly seeking them out. He knew that if he did through suspicion he might die, but also because many had tried and been caught by the police, or their families were held hostage by the government.
He placed his message on a data card with his application and info on how to contact him, and how to exchange messages to prevent him from been caught or bringing risk to the Xeno's.
