I'm not gonna blow you outta the water, but i really can't see a central democratical country like Liberty calling on something like this. As well as the fact that most of the inmates in Liberty faught against Liberty forces.

Im not too sure about this, as from reading some of the news stories and such like, it seems that Liberty is thought to be not far from the brink of a millitary dictatorship. Also, from the roumers of what the LSF and LN have done to humans and nomads in alaska, it seems that they care little for human lives and therefore to me it doesnt seem too far fetched to think that they would send those who are going to be executed anyway, into battle as cannon-fodder.
