shape is OK - sharp edges, yet an elegant design and certainly similar to the battleship ( but the battleship is a bit more.... complex with tis upper and lower levels )

the design is good. - and balancing it will be problematic.

what will be the difference between the battleship and the dreadnought? - the current dreadnought, while being somewhat more compact than the battleship is still more massive and can justify its higher stats. but what happens when the dreadnought becomes cylindrical, too? - no matter if its a long ship ( like the spyglass ) - what really matters in capital ship battles is how large it is from the front.

and i don t think you want a ship that is just identical to the battleship - cause where d be the point in that. - but there is just no way a custom ship gets stats like the lib dreadnought ( which is extremely high armour in an extremly tiny hull )
always keep in mind what it is fighting the most ( corsairs - and maybe BHGs - but from what i know, not many BHGs really go to alpha, cause its rather boring space for them ) - i don t think such behemoths like the kusari battleship are regular enemies .... but maybe the gallic battleship might "become" a more regular ( time will tell )

how will it respond to that. - the current outcast battleship is ( admittedly too large ) and rather strange compared to ships like the corsair DN, which is smaller and more compact but has more armour and weapons/power.

a flawless replace is only possible when the ships keep their shape ( or when the ship is rather unpopular anyway ) - the shape of that ship is very different from the current DN, so a new balance concept needs to be figured out by the dev team. - leaving the question... will you like it then?


for me, its most important to know - what is the role of the DN compared to the battleship. - i doubt you ll be able to make the ships as different as - for example the orca and the BHG GS. - but only that really granted that there are two choices for one shipclass.

liberty has a very tiny DN and a large carrier ( its not actually THAT large come to that - its just larger than the lib DN, but almost everything is larger than the lib DN )

a suggestion is - if its made to copy the lib DN, maybe osiris stats and a slightly larger size than the osiris might work. - giving the outcasts two very different ships ( and not upsetting much, cause corsairs have the osiris and the DN, too )

but then - the model might need to be adjusted to reflect being half the size of the battleship.
