I am not going to get into a piracy argument with you Jinx, however in this case you are not correct. I'm answering the strength of your post, I have nothing against you.

Zoners *Might* have ID neutrality with most, but that doesn't stop them from being pirated. Nor destroyed if they show bad attitudes towards the people holding a gun to their heads.

Yes, paying pirates is a valid "argument". It is *ONE* solution to staying alive and moving on (especially if you have one of the largest cargo spaces in the game.)

I also prefer traders (zoners aren't limited to my thinking in this) getting away alive AND with their cargo, but the guy said "he doesn't do well with words". So some of the options left to him are, pay up, try to run, hire escorts, or attack. The whale doesn't need more weapons, simply because people don't know how to treat a threat to their life, cargo and money.

Edit: Another solution would be to talk with the council to see if he can get some "revenge" or protection.
