How to become a Nomad?

you wont make it in a starflea. what you WILL be able to achieve time and again is reach the shrine, 200 meters away from docking, without any botts, batts, wings (since the flea is a vanilla ship, the wings blow off after they take too much damage), guns, cm, mines, etc, smile to yourself saying "yay, finally reached it" then expectedly, blow up before you can dock because the radiation chewed through your hull and made you use up all your nanobots. ive tried and tested it when i was setting up a new keepers chars, not fun.

like said here before, get another ship (temporary) before you attempt to go for the shrine, and stick to civilian guns.
