' Wrote:As for the cooperating, we owe AW money, Helghast ain't helping us and my people are the ones that never trade. I enjoy trading for the eternal record of the hallowed halls of discovery.

It's not about you trading or not it's exactly about the quoted part, your supposed 'allies' and your faction members aren't helping or making any income whatsoever. It ddoesn't have to be trading, you're Lane Hackers, think of something in the lines of 'a special taskforce, joint effort of the Lane Hackers and Outcasts to give better training to the Lane Hackers (you're all good pilots just bare with me), was dispatched to help the Outcasts of Malta reduce the number of Bounty Hunter ships constantly attacking the system' and do missions from Malta/Ibiza if more than 5 players, divide into squads or pairs and do multiple missions at once, take high level 'Kill Ships' missions or something like that.

Doing 300k-500k missions in group adds up quickly not to mention the income from the loot which 3-4 players could pick up all of it from one mission. Or, you can hire traders, you can have a loan from the lot of banks just appeared throughout Sirius. Maybe get to do services from various corporations... if one doesn't work, something else will.

Instead, what are you lot doing? PvPing in Cambridge every freakin' night just loosing money. Not to mention it's probably boring as hell to repeat the same flamming and clogging up the server, but hell, maybe I'm just weird. I just thought of giving you a reason to encourage the faction of doing something together. Why do the factions I'm in last so long and are so interresting? We do stuff together, we share common experiences, we have fun together in the first place.

Various factions finance themselves in various ways. The IND are traders (finance themselves), the IND Epsilon Wing are IND escorts (they get paid by the IND and can moonlight), the GoR are fighters (financed by Kristy Pryde and Bernard Fokke, doing missions), the 8492nd are defenders of human kind (various organisations pay for their existance and keeping the Phantoms and such away). They all do what they are best at and they get money from it.

' Wrote:Slight comment: if HF is to pay this 400 million the Cambridge-Corfu run wouldn't be suggested since RP-wise they're KOS in Cambridge and their traders (HF tagged, of course) are to be impounded or destroyed. They're welcome to continue to offend SF regs and suffer the consequences but the KOS order stands. Their actions resulted in the order and nothing they have done has convinced me to withdraw it. Now if an admin steps in and says I have to allow their HF tagged traders access to Cambridge I'll do so, but the fact of the matter is the lack of access to Cambridge basically is a consequence/punishment for their attacks. HF the warning still stands, stay out of Cambridge if you want any hope of better relations with the SF.

Fire, of course I'm counting on the KOS status, however, the SF ain't on 24/7 and also, they have more members, some of them cn distract the SF while the traders are docking/undocking and escort them in/out of the system. And as I stated above, trading isn't the only solution. People working together as a faction are.

Yea, im sorry for that, I wanna create some mroe RP trading abse characters out there, but, as you know, I am the only one in my clan who does any trading at all so its ahrd to get money for our ships, let along anyone else.

@Nightfall: Get along and cooperate? We have always done that and we allways will, I dunno where you got that Idea from. (Sorry If I missunderstood what you were saying). Anyways, I don't allow HF OR Helghast tagged characters to join a group with my trader cause LAne hacker Junker, with a Gateway shipper? Doesnt seam right.

Verginix out

Same that I said to Tank, not necessary trading, but as their allies, you can help them gather the funds. People, you can make money to pay five Dabs to each make a system and pay for five systems in no time instead of moaning that 'I'm the only trader in the faction' which brings the question 'where in the name of Bob did you all get the lot of battleships?', but I digress.

I hope I'm making a clear enough statement here. A faction should be economically justified, it has to make enough profit to sustain itself, otherwise, since you're the only one in your faction generating income, why loosing so much money? I don't get the logic of that.

Working together for the faction will keep the people loyal too, it's harder to leave behind something you worked for, put your own time and effort into making what that faction has in possesion. It will define the faction itself and the people that are making that faction.

sorry for the long rant
Bernard.

If the stars should appear one night in a thousand years, how would men believe and adore and preserve for many generations the remembrance of the city of God? - from 'Nightfall' by I. Asimov
The Outcasts consider Siniestre Nube a sacred place for several reasons. Early explorers discovered a jumphole within the depths of the cloud that leads to a strange world of ringed stars and strange craft. All ships in the burrial ground are placed facing that hole to honor the Alien Spirits. - An Outcast rumor
