Funnily enough, I've never fought someone in my LF who actually uses cruise disruptors, despite carrying 70 ammo onboard. And then I liberally use mine and suck up all their ammo when they die.
And I'm well aware of missiles backfiring. Just yesterday I fought a missilespammer and kept exploding his missiles in his face until he ran out.
