Problem adding a computer to the network

Ok so i got xp up an running on this other PC, and i got SP3 and some other stuff on it, because i have them saved on an external harddrive so i dont have to redownload onto any of th PC's on the network...


Now i am running a home network with 3 pcs already...although 1 of them is currently not hooked up, as i dont feel that my GF's 10 year old son needs internet access on his PC in the 4th grade...Anyway i tried hooking this other PC up, the one i slapped together last night, to the router so i can run a Server 24/7 for space battles...but i cant seem to get the pc hooked up to the router, and the software for belkin wont connect to it either...which is strange cuz i didnt have this problem when i set up the other 2 pc's


basically wats happening is its not even auto detecting the network even though the ethernet cable is plugged in to router and pc and reads green...

on top of that, i cant even get a network setup because it wont allow it, as there are no connections available...

Now..i have the qwest internet setup disk for my m1000 modem, but...it isnt connecting to that directly and shouldnt be needed


so im asking for a little help, because this has me stumped
