One: Don't stand still. Don't trust anybody. People are often frustrated because I circle and randomly change direction when RPing before a fight.
Two: This is an old trick perpetrated by well-known server veterans as well as the little-known pvpwhores. Some people would rather just not have you destabilize their fragile world without three pages of forum RP, place 'what should be' over proper in-game ettiquette and think they're above the rules. The one time I've had this happen to me I had the good fortune to move just in the nick of time, so the razor hit but not the SN.
Three: /set chattime on is your friend. Type gibberish in console as soon as you poof.
