The Tiger Shark automatically says "hey, I'm from Rheinland", so bonus points there.

If you're up for something heavier, the Behemoth transport has admirable firepower for its class (six transport turrets forward and, I believe, to all sides). Or, if that's too much, there's the Humpback freighter and Rheinland Armored Transport. They're cargo ships, but they have a decent punch behind them - less so in the Humpback's case, of course.

But you haven't really given us much to work with. What kind of character is he? Does he like tinkering with his own ship instead of leaving it to the dock mechanics? If so, the Marauder is a great fit. Sneaky? The Virage certainly looks the part. Well, other than the huge friggin tubes, but you take the good with the bad.
