Peaceful it may be for some humans, but certainly not so for the Nomads considering the geopolitical position of the station with everything that comes out of it (controlling long range scanners, re-fueling base, et cetera), quite naturally they got their own reasons, and you would easily understand them if you'd taken a single moment to think from their side. Would you just sit down and let your enemies scan you from afar, to let them know of your fleet movements and so forth? I bet not. It's a closest base to Iota jumphole also.

As far as I am concerned there is no RP dictation happened yet. Just some emotional overreaction.

Yes, it does in fact make sense in RP.
But it is not especially healthy when if comes to the actual effect on gameplay.
