The difference is factionalised players can, and are punished for poor behaviour. Independents can do whatever they like, with in the server rules. Unfortunately too many take that as an oppurtunity to be complete jerks about the way they play, and make the game less fun for other people. Faction members may do this sometimes too, but they can be slapped down for it.

And n00bl3t, if you plan to quote anti-indie messages from those chats, please remember to post the full context.
Finally, n00bl3t, you're making a scene. You're not going to accomplish anything this way. It's going to bounce back and forth, getting flamier and flamier until this thread gets locked.
And as I recall the LN Registry is an RP thread, and demanding to be removed from it because of an OOC reason doesn't seem right.

There is no more punishment for Faction caps than for Indie ones, really.
Giving factions the power to controll capships means you point on 20 (random number, really) people, who will from now on have the right to say who is good and who is bad. No offense anyone. It's stupid. Twisted. Offensive- Based on personal grudges-favors-feelings. No thanks.

Special RP request for big ships would be nice tho, but in rough example, I don't want to get in situation when a player whom I dislike and who dislikes me get's to decide whether my RP is good and if I CAN fly what I want to fly.

Not only faction-caps owners RP, and not only indies do the lolwuting.

So again, special RP requests. At least for BSes if nothing else... But even for cruisers it would be fine, after all, majority, no, almost all of peopel in sirius do not get to fly capital ships, yet in our space, thigs that fly are actually 40-60% capital ships... No good.
