The Liberty boys don't strike at the Order in Minor anymore (or vice versa) and most groups who are legally there don't want to find anyone else in there other than themselves, whats the point?

Why don't you just close the route and only have it opened for special occasions, like a Nomad invasion or something?
The other option is, bearing in mind that Alaska is an almost one entrance, one exit system, why not leave it as it is and give the LN something to continue to shoot at?
If smugglers (and thats what you are if you go through there no matter your cargo) insist on keeping the LN entertained, why not?

I for one would see no problem if I was silly enough to get caught in there and killed. I'm not sure I see a problem with being found or doing the finding.
I am surprised the lawfuls don't screen every person in there and posting it, have an 'Arrest on sight anywhere in Liberty' warrant put out on them, repeatable a gazillion times.
As soon as that ship logs on, every law enforcement officer will see it and know, 'Confirmed smuggler with an outstanding warrant'.
