In case you're wondering, my suggestion about Londonderry in no way "benefits" me, seeing as the Molly Republic is my primary faction I spend time with and I'm asking that my own guard system be toned down. A couple of other people have raised the same point about their own factions (like Ktayn). The only benefits are strictly RP ones.

Now, I only mentioned the Mollys because that's a faction I'm in and feel qualified to speak for. Off the top of my head, here's some factions I believe could use tweaking to their guard systems, but I would rather not put words in the mouths of their leaders so this is purely speculative: Gaians, Xenos, GC, LWB, Unioners, Bundschuh, Liberty Rogues, AFA.

Oh, and I never said they should have their guard systems removed. That's a moot point, anyhow, because bases will not be deleted, and it isn't what this discussion is about.

As to the ones mentioned, the Gaians, LWB, Unioners, and Bundschuh haven't had anything done with their systems so there isn't much of a problem. Can't say I've visited the Xeno or Rogue systems much. I like several things about the other two, but there are also things I'm not so sure about.

They're certainly factions whose RP for guard systems should be more than giant shipyards and the like. Discussions for the Bundschuh Guard system have included a haven for political dissidents and a University of sorts. The current idea for the LWB system is it would be a home for the civilian types of the Rheinland unlawfuls - those who aren't out shooting for various reasons. Like Hessian miners, LWB supporters who just want to farm, Bundschuh supporting citizens who would otherwise be unsafe, and repatriated slaves rescued from Daumann or brought in by the revolutionary types.

Last I knew for the Gaians, things were much more up in the air, but a recurring theme is it'd be a nice "wilderness" type area.

Basically, guard systems should run with the appropriate RP of the factions and help supplement the RP of Disco as a whole, in my opinion. Some I'm not entirely sure of, like Tau-63, Omicron-85, and Omicron-100 (though this is mainly related to factors other than what the Order itself has done). There's some strangeness with Tau-65 and Londonerry, too. On the other hand, there are several that make lots of sense. Omega-56 would be great if it was just a bit more Omicron-connected, but that's another story.

Or something like that. I'm in a rambly mood today it would seem. :P

I agree. Londonerry is kind of weird, but it's also done awesome as far as visuals go. The RP of it doesn't seem to be reflected much elsewhere as much, though that may have nothing to do with the people involved there considering it seems like the new bases were just kind of dropped on them. That's the impression I get at least.
