I'd like to suggest making a list of the ships that definitely needs to be changed or modified and a list of the types of ships that are needed to be made. A list saying how many ships of each kind exist would be interesting too.

Because if almost no one uses carriers, for instance, and everyone is modeling them, it makes no sense.

So that way, the mod wouldn't end up with 70% cruiser hip suggestions and 28% fighters suggestion and 2% of freighter suggestions. It could help balancing the number of ships available for all types.
