Chapter 2: Old ways- New World



-Zigeris's cargo vessel drifts into a quart spin towards New Yark Station while being tailed by two LPI officers. Kimi unsure what is going on becomes flustered in her mind they are wasting time, while the men trying to kill Zigeris are running free-


LPI Officer: Please halt your ship and prepare for a scan of your cargo hold Thank you.
Kimi: Hey ass hole why don't you stop wasting time and arrest the guys trying to kill my ZIGGY!

LPI: Excuse me?

Zigeris: Nothing she just on her time of the month*, and been...watching to many movies and tv *Kimi punches Zigeris in the back*

LPI: LSF Garmen isn't it?

Zigeris: Yes, Senior Agent Garmen

LPI: Stay right there sir,

Zigeris: For what?

The LPI office was made aware to contact to the LSF if Garmen left the planet's atmosphere. And with further instructions to detain the ship he is flying until the LSF can get to the extraction point. With the recent events unfolding, Zigeris was label a flight risk this information was not passed on through the proper channels of communications. During the wait Zigeris senses something is wrong and attempts to retrieve the frequency the LPI and LSF are using. What he hears briefly is the clearance to proceeded with the detainment and arrest. Zigeris quickly tells Kimi to bucket up.

LPI: Alright Zigeris Garmen shut off the engines and prepare to be boarded.

Zigeris knows the Junkers ZOI is near he can get to the debris field and lose them, he floods the area with countermeasures and sensor jammers and throws the throttle and flys straight up. The LPI stunned arm their missiles and catches up. Being too close to the planet the missiles locking systems were too weak from the gravity from the planets poles, they lock on to the countermeasures quickly. Getting closer to the debris field all but 2 countermeasures are left. Kimi is beside herself as Zigeris pushes the cargo vessel faster into the debris feel, diligently dodging the twisted metal and scraps of the past. Just suddenly-

Liberty Rogue: Engaging the LPI their corruption will not hurt another innocent soul, Godspeed and get out of here Zien

A partol of three Rogues take on the two LPI while knowing the danger the police were forced to face the rogues. Zigeris watches with great horror, he closes his eyes and draws a "X," in his mind.

Zigeris: **** you shouldn't have followed me, you knew the risk don't you die
Kimi: Whats going on!
Zigeris: I can't help them, if we do we die Liberty is not our heaven anymore.
Kimi: Rochester base....what are we doing here?
Zigeris: The junkers congress knows me, and they will take us somewhere safe until i can sort all this out.

Rochester Base a safe heaven for many people just looking to run, to hide or to never be known to exist. Many pilots come and go all make the comment if the walls could talk the stories they would recount would be amazing. Atlas the Junker's Congress are often proud of their past and never let it die.....

While Kimi sits at the bar, Zigeris sells and hacks the ID software of his cargo vessel and requested to tag along on one of their routes close to the Tau systems, knowing getting to Kusari space would be nearly impossible at this time. One pilot agrees, his name is Greg flys a rather large transport for the junkers taken in anything from water to gold. He tells Zigeris that they will be ready to leave within an hour. Back at the bar.

Man: So why don't I take you aboard my nova? uh? I promise you it'll be a blast especially with your soft skin, and the cold space can get you pretty perky..

Kimi: Get off yourself creep, but you can buy me a drink though something strong,

Man: Oh? yeah I can do that so boy troubles? See that's whats wrong you don't need a boy you need a man, so tell me what does your boyfriend do? eh?

Kimi: **** you talk alot, can't just buy me a drink and shut up? And for your information I don't have a boyfriend.

Man: Hah then its prefect I'll take you to my ship and show you around this galaxy like no one else can.

Kimi: Bite me

Kimi gets up to walk away the man grabs her arm

Man: I'm not done yet

As soon as he finishes his word Zigeris unleashes a full right hook into the mans jaw throwing him over the bar table.

Zigeris: I think its time to get her that drink, prick *turns the bar tender* I want to Sides, and a redshot on his tab eh?

Bar Tender: Heh Sure


Zigeris: Thanks buddy...
*Zigeris firmly pats the mans chest and walks on by and Kimi follows*

Man: Yea...anytime...*coughs and wipes the blood from his mouth*

Zigeris and Kimi sit on the far end by the window looking out into the stars. Zigeris couldn't help but to avoid eye contact. He is scared, and confused he believes that if he looks into Kimi's eyes all his walls will come down and he will show every feeling he has. And that of course will make him seem weak....

Kimi: So where we going? since you've now made it to where i can't go home,
Zigeris: We're heading to the Tau systems for now, there is a freeport close to my bothers facility
Kimi: Oh? What does your brother do in the tau systems?
Zigeris: He designs and builds ships for private vendors
Kimi: Like...us?
Zigeris: Yeah yep like us.
Kimi: So where going to pick up a ship right? To do what? Like really whats going on? Who's trying to kill you?
Zigeris: We get the ship so we can travel unmarked, and I don't know who is trying to kill me, hell i'm LSF there is a huge list of people that would want me dead. When we get to my brothers base you can choose to stay there...and

Kimi: No I want to be with you,
Zigeris: Its going to be way to dangerous, already its been to close.
Kimi: I don't care what will happen you know, if i have to be here to bleed with you then i will just if i can save you from yourself.

Zigeris: From myself? eh its better if we didn't but whatever you can tag along. Say finish your drink and let us get to the transport we can talk more then were set on the way.

Kimi: Okey

Later inside the transport control bridge

Greg: Hi! aha welcome aboard you've chosen the best transport in all of Sirius I promise to keep you safe, heh no cargo? I'm assuming then Tau is where you're from?

Zigeris: Yeah that's it, thank you so much if you need anything else don't be afraid to ask.

Greg: Heh kid if you can't fly yourself to the Tau's I think you're a little short on income ahhahah don't worry i'm fine.

Zigeris: haha very well, we'll be in the mess hull.

Greg: Make yourself at home. I'll be down there in a bit got to get this boat underway.

Sitting there in the lightly lit room and coffee in hand Zigeris's mind wanders as there wasn't much to say from fatigue-- Kimi passes out resting her head on the table. To himself-

"I can't help to think if this has been all arranged that still even though I hurt I am still falling into the path fate as given me. That no matter what I do my end will be the same. Should i fight it? What do I owe fate to let it kill me. Will the questions I have be answered here in this realm of existence? or will it be carried with me to the after life. Such as life. The Tau systems is a war zone for the most part, many die in a war of which has no point. But that's where sources say that the Brille Supply company originated from and answers to much smaller questions, who and why have I been targeted for assassination. Records say that the founders came from New London system as a family foundation support front. Having their operations hosted in the Tau systems is abit out of the way. Especially for "Office Supplies," More or less the fact that they supply enemy houses. It doesn't make sense, they could be a secret intelligence service for one or another nation. If so then they might be trying to open sleeper cells in Liberty. I will have to find out for the good of the people and the security of Liberty. But there is nothing I can do for right now, no use not sleeping,"


Zigeris walks over to the other side of the table and picks Kimi up and carries her to their sleeping quarters. He lays her gently down on her bed, Kisses her forehead and gets into his bed turns the lights out. While asleep Zigeris begins to dream. The vision of stars falling from the sky when they hit the surface of the bare planet the fire ball engulf the entire horizon the hot red glow drowns out the rest of the stars from view. Suddenly within the fireball a face forms through the clouds of fire it roars "ZIGERIS." Zigeris awakes quickly and sits up his body is covered in sweat breathing hard he looks over at where Kimi lays and gets up. He takes the fallen blanket from her bed and lays next to her and replaces the blanket over them holding her hand he lays there awake, afraid to sleep.

Early morning

Greg: HEY *taps Zigeris's head* Wake up we're here, the Tau systems

Zigeris: Eh that fast uh? *rolls out of bed carefully not to disturb Kimi* Whats the coordinates?

Greg: Uh? OH Barring 405, 5600, 6000 dead in the middle of the plain. So we'll be docking at a Zoner base? Or let ya'll off in escape pods?

Zigeris: You've been talking to?

Greg: Well son, I figure you are running away from someone since you've taken a Junkers transport instead the pas-sager liners. But that's too why I haven't gotten to the base.

Zigeris: Well, escape pods would be cold if we have to wait, How about I call my brother to come pick us up from here.

Greg: Fair enough I'll be on the bridge call me when you find out I will hold the ship here.

Zigeris gets on the ships main comms cpu,

It has been a long time since we've talked I am sorry to have not visited since I left the hospital work of course was very busy. And that you've moved GADC to the Tau systems made it difficult to find as-well. Brother I am in the Tau 27 system and require to pick up the ship i've order a long time ago. It seems that destiny finally calls for me to use it. Also make no mention of me returning to the GADC not even to friends. Someone wishes for me to be dead for whatever reason the quest to find out who has obligated me to escape from Liberty. I await your reply

Where on Gods blue nova have you been? Do you know why I had to move GADC? We have much talking to do, in person, and I shall pick you up. The ship as you ordered is complete with great success your ideas and thesis's worked out perfectly. Now Zigeris if someone wanted you dead you would be dead, it shouldn't come to being a surprise that enemies from afar would cast down the cold blade upon your throat, relax I will take care of you. Brother it does do me good to hear from you no worries about visiting ether as I understand the work that you do.

Zigeris moves away from the computer to himself...

"Now is the time to see my masterpiece my poetry of space,"

Kimi wakes up looks over at Zigeris empty bed, she becomes worried that something may be wrong and gets dressed. Zigeris quickly returns to the their quarters and spooks Kimi.

Kimi: AYE!

Zigeris: Sorry, Say get your stuff my brother is coming to pick us up.

Kimi: Stuff? I don't have stuff you seem excited.

Zigeris: Yea you might say that I haven't seen my brother in nearly 3 years, it should be most interesting to see what he has done to my company.

Kimi: Your company?

Zigeris: Yea I set it up and built the Garmen Auto Defense Contracting from scratch

Kimi: I see, How long until he'll be here?

Zigeris: I'm guessing around hour

Kimi: Great then i'm going to take a shower care to join me?

Zigeris: Eh when we dock on my brothers base we can shower I really just want to make sure nothing goes wrong

Kimi: FINE i'll shower alone *makes a pouty face*

Zigeris: Don't stand there looking at me just go and shower i'll be on the bridge

Kimi throws her hands up in the air and lets em drop with a defeated strut she walks into the shower stall. And without removing her clothes she turns on the shower. Zigeris anxious he walks to the bridge without saying anything else to Kimi.


Greg: Aye your brother is coming eh?

Zigeris: Yes

Greg: I hope he doesn't run into any hassle with the locales ahah.

Zigeris looks on into the dark emptiness of space searching the stars for any movement.
