Chapter 3 Operation: StarLight

Through the vast nebula cover a dark shade appears, it is large the craft seemed to be consumed by its size. They have reached the GADC base. Upon docking the entire dock bay was populated with guards. The ship lands. The guards opened the transport shuttles doors


Guard: SIR!

Lezen Garmen: At ease take the shuttle down to storage
Zigeris: My what a operation you have here since i've left eh?
Lezen: My adviser said it would be best that it have a military structure here gives a sense of importance please..come to my office. Miss Kimi can rest in the lobby. The guards can escort her.

Kimi: Oh I hope they have good food out here aha! Woo!
*Kimi hugs Zigeris and moves on out of the docking bay*

Lezen: Shes hyper, anyway Zigeris we must make haste. I have your ship ready, you've picked a busy time to pick it up.

Zigeris: Why? Whats going on?

Lezen: Well remember when I had to move GADC?
Zigeris: I don't really know the details...just something about en accident
Lezen: Heh you might say that but our project kinda went insane and destroyed a few of the empire's bases and KNF vessels. We explained that it was not intentional... They didn't...listen.

*Zigeris punches Lezen pushes him into the wall"

Zigeris: WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO?
Lezen: Eh *Coughs* Why so cut throat? We have a military contract for a project that deals with combat systems...and it didn't work according to plan...it took a month to destroy what test subjects we could find..

Zigeris: So what now? I cannot be here if the Empire wants you dead..
Lezen: Brother this is a battle between the old era and the new...we are on the brink of the future Zigeris.
Zigeris: You want my help...
Lezen: You need to pilot the prototype...
Zigeris: I can't ...fight with this...GADC are scientists and engineers! they're not warriors.
Lezen: Brother we've changed since the last time you've seen us. We have a defense fleet. We can crush them
Zigeris: I won't have anything with this....war....excuse me
Lezen: Of course...

*Zigeris Leaves Lezens office*

Lezen: So, he won't fight for us I told you so.
Hologram: Hmm we need his abilities to complete our experiment. We don't have much time. Our Hybridgenetic Humans are to few, and we can't use normal humans for our fighters.
Lezen: Understandable even if the KNF destroys this base our pilots couldn't survive without the Control Computer. Should we move it?
Hologram: Hard to say If we move it now, we cannot fight the KNF send the data to my transponders our city now has the abilities to construct vessels. I will send the required credits for your services.
Lezen: Very well we'll use this conflict as the field testing...Aye? If the base is destroyed than I will contact you from another location to continue the production of your fleet.

Hologram: Agreed

The transmission ends Lezen looks through the window in his office that looks over the production line. Lezen to himself

"Brother, this is our last chance to keep whats ours intact you must fight with us,"

Lezen finds Zigeris in the production room floor examining his fighter

Lezen: Ah Zigeris look sorry to be rude but you must understand what is at stake
Zigeris: This ship you've constructed were exactly to what i predicted.
Lezen: Yes, of course
Zigeris: Then it should be powerful enough to repel a patrol fleet
Lezen: Sadly thats what were up against here, ether spys or scouts found our base we may not have pilots but what we do have is our honor, Fight with me brother...
Zigeris: No...

Suddenly the base shakes and the lights flicker. Alarm bells are sounding and people run in all sorts of directions. Lezen turns his back to his brother and walks on. Zigeris is left there staring at his fighter. Kimi is escorted to the safe rooms and locked in with the other civilians at the base. Outside the battle begins.

GADC pilot: Don't get to close to those battleships! we need to hold them off long enough for our prototypes to lunch!

KNF pilot: Your treacherous dishonor will not go unnoticed you shall die here tonight!

The battleships take out the base turrets and now begin to focus on any transports leaving the base. The fighter and bombers engage the GADC pilots, which were out numbered three to one. Like a firework show Lezen can only watch in horror

Lezen: Those lights are death...commence the operation!
GADC Guard: Yes sir,

The guard unlocks the lower gates in the base and sends instructions to a few unnamed pilots that were kept from the first launch of defense pilots. The pilots start up there ships, 2 fighters and 2 bomber class vessels. They launch.

Lezen: Good now see the rising sun be covered with the clouds of darkness!

Meanwhile still in the production room too, Zigeris was listening to the combat feeds and was horrified with the losses that were being sustain by the GADC pilots. He decides to launch

Zigeris: This is Zigeris Huu Garmen Launching in the Alpha Centari! Open the hatch!

The double gates of the production room opened all the debris from within get sucked out into space the Alpha Centira launches out into the battle

GADC guard: Sir, Zigeris Garmen just launched the Alpha Centira
Lezen: Perfect. turn on the UnioGeneticBattleSystem!!!!
GADC: AYE AYE!

Zigeris piloting through the battle first targeting the KNF bombers doing the most damage with the Alpha Centira's speed and power they were no match for them.

Zigeris: THIS BATTLE IS USELESS!!!

GADC guard: 13 seconds until full power

Zigeris: What the hell is this light?


The light source coming form the base was clearly not cause by the battles hail of fire. This light was something else. Just has Zigeris finished his sentence his cockpit begins to light up

Zigeris: What the ****!?

Zigeris falls unconscious and like a dream he watches his body preform tasks involuntary destroying all targets that came in front of the Alpha Centria. He sees other lights moving and destroying the KNF targets, they focus on the battleships. One destroyed with in minutes the KNF pull back....

Lezen: Shut the system down...it works wonderfully....ready the medical staff.
GADC Guard: Aye sir.

Back in the Alpha Centira Zigeris regains consciousness

Zigeris: What the ...eh? What happened? Wheres the enemy?

Lezen over hearing the transmission from Zigeris he thinks to himself.

" The data my brother provided was incredible clearly the Alpha Centira and him were meant to be together no typical human can live while piloting that beast. HA who'd the thought that the man who written the basic functions of the combat system would have been able to use it himself."

Zigeris wasn't strong enough to dock the ship, his body felt as though it went through a full days run exhausting and Ill. Lezen had him taken to the Medical bay. Kimi finally being able to argue her way to the medical bay goes to visit Zigeris, despite the doctors imposed suggestion to leave him be she wakes Zigeris up

Kimi: Hey hun!
Zigeris: Hi...what happened? You're alright!?


Zigeris and Kimi continues to talk as the doctors go over the medicate exam with Lezen

Doctor: It seems that his brain is completely conditioned to the brave waves frequencies the system puts out. Though like normal humans his body couldn't take it or well his body is not conditioned for it yet.

Lezen: I see, and it would be no use to us if he dies, what could we do to condition his body quicker?

Doctor: Well, Chemicals in Cardimine was extracted to speed up the senses in our Test pilots. We could attempt to do the same. Only it works better sense its build into their genetic DNA, I have no idea how it will effect an already grown DNA structure. I say if he is to walk within the hour it very well be that he'll easily be conditioned. Where did you find him?

Lezen: Heh a divine meeting Doctor... thank you,

Back to Zigeris and Kimi

Zigeris: Really I don't know, But I know I need to get to my brother with KNF being on our tails You and I cannot stay for long.

Kimi: Oh hmm well you should rest...and maybe we can leave after you feel better, I heard that most of the transports trying to get out were shot down..

Zigeris: I felt as though in my dream I could feel the people dying..as though my energy was being drained...its crazy

Kimi: Get some rest...

Kimi stands up and kisses Zigeris's forehead and walks down the hull to the lobby curious about her home system she changes channels to the Liberty CNS channel and watches.

Kimi looks on and with no surprise to the news she turns off the monitor to herself

"People are always killing each other! FOR WHAT! can't we just live together? You would think space is big enough. Zigeris I don't know whats happening since we got here you've been so cold, your emotions seemed to be blocked even when I look into your eyes its not the same. Could it be that visiting your past has cause you to go back to your old ways? What is here that you're really searching for? I love you Zigeris, I know you love me. I know you do just tell me. You are the only one who can."

Kimi sits down at the stations bar and crisscrosses her arms, rested on the counter, and lays her head down. The bar tender was not present She had the lobby mainly to herself and while faint sounds of people and objects moving she falls asleep

Lezen receives a message that a consultant is coming to inspect their progress on the contracted project. Lezen intrigued, and worried moves all the ships and their pilots to a secured viewing room. Such projects cannot been in the hands of rogue groups. Lezen orders everything to be cleaned up for the arrival of the clients. And told the guard to wear plan cloths, concealed weapons and keep watch for anything suspicious. Lezen receives a transmission in his office...

Hologram: Lezen I've heard what happened
Lezen: We lost alot of pilots we need supplies badly
Hologram: Aye, I have sent them with the consultant. He is a strange fella but never the less will do the work as required for little pay. This marks a historical day in our Operation.
Lezen: Yes, I too feel the sense that the new era is close to us.
Hologram: How did your brother fair with the Alpha Centira?
Lezen: It was remarkable you should have seen it for yourself
Hologram: Good, do you think you can trust him?
Lezen: He'll have to join our operation if he doesn't...
Hologram: Kill him...
Lezen: Yes, It would have to be done.

The transmission closes and Lezen stand by the window. The guard walks in and tell him that the consultant has arrived. Lezen ready his office and accepts the permission to dock. The transport docks.. The guards sees to it that the guest was escorted to Lezens office. When there Lezen was startled by the figure of this man. His hair long and dark, his eyes were covered with a red optical sensors, his coat was a long outer coat darken gray. His boot were ridged and black.


Man: Go day sir...
Lezen: Hi, I am Lezen Garmen you are?
Man: I am...Gothera
Lezen: Just Gothera?
Gothera: Yes.
Lezen: Alright have a seat. now I understood you were to look at the products right?
Gothera: Yes, that and to pick up some equipment.
Lezen: Oh very well then, We're experiencing issues so if ya don't mind we'll take the long way through lobby we'll pick up some drinks
Gothera: Heh that's all find by me


The guards, Lezen and Gothera walk down to the lobby, Lezen seeing Kimi sleeping apologizes to Gothera and wakes up Kimi she jumps at first, Lezen whispers into her ear to go back to the medical bay where Zigeris is. She looks around and in almost a scream she quickly covers her mouth. She just recognized who the man was that was standing behind Lezen. She nods her head and starts walking away slowly and when out of site she begins to run.

Lezen: Heh Kids eh? aha here what do you like?
Gothera: Anything will do
Lezen: Very well let us go

In the medical center Zigeris is vast asleep with some sleep aids administered from the doctors. He dreams of Kimi dancing around and the smile on her face

Kimi: ZIGERIS ZIGERIS!

Zigeris wakes up

Zigeris: Eh...i was just dreaming about you...

Kimi: Zigeris! that man is here...

ZIgeris: What? who your ex? what guy?
Kimi: No Dumbass that terrorist...
Zigeris: Terrorist? Where?
Kimi: I seen him in the Lobby with your brother!!

*Zigeris gets up*

Zigeris: **** stay here

*Doctors sees Zigeris get up and try holding him down*

Doctors: Sir you need to rest!
Zigeris: Doc there's a terrorist on board this base!

*Zigeris pushes him out of the way and runs for his gun*

Kimi to herself

"Please be careful Zigeris,"

Zigeris having not the slightest clue on what profile the terrorist had he carefully navigated to the main lobby. He peaks around the corner and sees no one. He creeps around the corner and listens for anything that could identify a direction, a clue to where the dangerous fiend must be. He hears glass breaking from the hallway parallel to the one he came from. He looks and runs to the entrance way. He pears into lightly lit corridor and finds nothing relating to the source of the sound. We walks slowly gun ready to fire at a moments notice. A cold breeze seems colder with the sweat bearing on his forehead. He sense something.

Man: Can I help you?

Zigeris quickly turns around and grabs the man forcing him into a arm locked position.

ZIgeris: Who are you!!
Man: EHH damnit Zigeris let me go, I am Dr. Kosak.
Zigeris: You work for my brother?
Dr.Kosak: Yes, now get off before I slug you a good one

Zigeris picks him up and brushes off any dust they may have gotten on his suit. Dr.Kosak seemed to have a long face, something was not right. Zigeris notes that the brief case that we was caring wasn't completely closed. Inside was millions of credits. Zigeris assumes he is stealing.

Zigeris: You come with me, and stay close we're at danger here,
Dr.Kosak: What? Danger from what? The Navy is gone, Look i would love to play the games with you but I have a meeting to get to. It is vital to the GADC operations.

Zigeris looks around.

Zigeris: Operation Dr.Kosak I was only aware of the ship productions

Dr.Kosak: Ah? You can't build experimental crafts designed for superhumans...if you don't have the super humans you twit. I am going to pick up new test pilots in order to complete more needed combat data.

Zigeris: From who? The people who ordered this project?

Dr.Kosak: Ordered? No this is our project read the memo, anyway I better be going ....

Zigeris: What is this project for? Again..I've been tired...

Dr. Kosak: War of course.

Zigeris watched him walk away, he is stunned GADC and his brother rather wouldn't ever have this much involvement in a war. Sure they built weapons and ships but this was completely different. He must find the terrorist he thought. He returns to the lobby and looks around seeing only a elevator he opens the door. And finds there is no cart to take him, he pears down in the long dark shaft. To himself.

"Well I'm not getting any younger...each level is about 200 feet apart...I can climb that I think."

Zigeris begins to carefully hoist himself on the cable and slowly inch his way down. the farther from the opened doors the less light there was for him to see. It wasn't long before it was so dark his point of reference was lost. He continues to creep downwards.

Meanwhile...

Lezen: You must be mad!!!

Gothera: DON'T INSULT ME!

Lezen: You want mox, and warheads? And you think I am just going to hand over our stock to you?

Gothera: Its been paid for already now do the good deed harlet and load my vessel. I have a business date in Liberty I shall not want to be late for.

Lezen: This is unacceptable, why not accept money. Or hell we'll give you locations on where you can buy some.

Gothera: It goes something like this, you believe in a higher authority and so do I. My god tells me I need to do tasks in order to harvest the ripe fields to feed him, so i do. I do as instructed and I DO not stop until I reach my goal. I can sense the fear in you, but don't worry the God of Fear is longing for souls who don't see the future as we do...

Lezen: Very well, I'll have it loaded at once, and not to be to subtle with this, when it is loaded I want you to leave right away and never return.

Gothera: Heh, there will be no need to return to this place. I'll be in my transport...ehh I'll leave here as requested.

Lezen: Very Good,

Gothera leaves the viewing room. Lezen looks at his guards.

Lezen: GET OUT and lock the damn door.

Guards: Yes Sir!

Lezen opens a transmission link

Lezen: Greetings Master,

Hologram: You seem annoyed

Lezen: Yes, it seemed your consultant wasn't interested in the product at all. In fact our supplies of MOX and our last warheads are now being transferred to his transport.

Hologram: Eh!? What?

Lezen: What you don't know? Huh? If you needed more weapons you can just ask not do this cue ****.

Hologram: Rest assure the instructions I gave Dr. Xiang Xong were too inspect the crafts...

Lezen: Dr. Xiang Xong? Not Gothera....you said the consultant was weird and surely the man i've visited was insane

Hologram: Dr.Xiang Xong is...well confused about his gender..I figured he'd be wearing a dress suit or something Gothera? I am not aware of that name. He didn't leave with anything of our operational data right?

Lezen: No, and I will take care of this,

Lezen ends the transmission. The events now caught him in between a state a shear anger and laughter. He sends out a command to his guards to stop Gothera and cease the loading of the weapons. Lezen quickly heads to the elevator gets in and begins to press the level of which he intends to go. Only 900 feet above Zigeris is still climbing down using the cables as place holders. Zigeris hears something.

Zigeris: What...the S****

The cables become electrically charged and burns Zigeris hands as he quickly uses his boots to hold him in place.. Hanging upside down he realizes the fate that awaits him. Which only moments to spare Zigeris attempts to swing the cable using his legs. In hopes that he could grab onto something. Zigeris quickly sees the light of the cart moving upwards the speed would clearly break bones if he stays there whtn the light filling the the gaps he sees a indented box big enough to hold him while staying clear of the moving cart. He swings his body as hard as he can lets go. He catches the edge with his burnt hands he shouts out in pain. Zigeris has only seconds to get his whole body into the gap. With every last strength he pulls himself just in the nick of time.The cart rushes pass him in such a speed it lifts him from the edge and sucks him back into the shaft falling feet first Zigeris is in danger.

Zigeris now falling quickly he again uses his boots as a friction press with the speed and weight of his body the method fails to slow him down quickly. As he sides his boots melt and some areas fuse into the other boot. Eventually he comes to a stop. Without a slightest clue on how far he fell he shouts out for help. But stops when he realizes it would do him no good. With his strength slowly being drained Zigeris is long from danger



Gothera had taken what he can, of MOX and one Warhead. This satisfied his motives and left.. a present at the docking bay. When the guards reached the unidentified object they couldn't help but to be disgusted. It was the be headed body of Dr. Xiang Xong. Lezen orders the removal of the body and contacts the Bounty Hunters Guild to hunt down the transport and kill him without any mercy.

Right, this story has way more to go, anything that is left unanswered I promise you will be answered by the final chapter. Or withing the following chapters.

Basically to recap in all three chapters, Zigeris was relieved of duty in the LSF because of a potential danger to the squad when he started day dreaming on a a mission. This of course only upset Zigeris. His friend and unpublicized (Not dating) lover Kimi is a very helpful person to restore Zigeris's esteem. But very early into events Zigeris Runs into major problems with hitmen attempting to kill him. The Who and Why is slowly being more hidden the closer he gets to the source of the contact hit-men. Brille Company runs and operations in a Zoner base in the Tau systems just out side of Kursari Space. Zigeris knew this and eventually makes him leave Liberty Space. With junkers help Kimi and Zigeris are able to meet up with Lezen Garmen, Zigeris brother owner of a militaristic faction known currently as GADC. Which the turning point begins in Zigeris Quest. Discovering that there is something evil in the makings Zigeris my now be forced to choose between his beliefs, or join his brother in a plan for war.
