First beta for Discovery 4.83 is available for download. This version does not include any significant changes, but rather fixes multiple balance issues that were found in previous version, and corrects ID system so that IDs would correspond our new server rules found here.
I had to release this beta much earlier than I shoud have because of the situation with server transfer and need for new PvP rules. I hope everyone understands that. Fact that this version does not contain any new systems, ships, weapons and other goodies does not mean they will never be added. I've studied the whole insanely long Bugs & Suggestions threads for 4.82, and I can assure you that your ideas and concepts will not be ignored if it'll be possible to implement them.
- New ship: Hyena (advanced Bloodhound)
- View distance for most fighters and freighters increased.
- Weapon stats and prices for capital ships were changed.
- Many ships rebalanced (mainly fighters).
- Cruise disruptor missiles are significantly faster.
- New general ID types added: Military ID, Pirate ID, Trader ID. ID prices now differ.
- Freelancer ID converted into Mercenary ID, lawful/independent ID similar to Bounty Hunter ID.
- Swarm missile pod and Corsair Dreadnought can no longer be purchased in-game.
I'm sorry, but Corsair Dreadnought has a problem with hitbox that we cannot fix. I know it's a beautiful and popular ship, but there's no choice. Those who sell it will get sufficient refund.
- Fixed a few bugs, corrected infocard errors.
