Roddy and Rita

Start Part 7 (Fianly, I'm writing more, remember to post a comment when your done:

The Jammy Dodger floated through the black darkness of the New York badlands, its engines cut as it bumped pasted the black monoliths that glided by. Roddy sat in his chair, waiting for the navigation officer to tell Rita and Him that they had picked up their Liberty Rouge Target. Roddy thought to himself, how long it had been, that year since he had met up with Rita again on the Helghast Resitance base, Vekta.

He smiled remebering how he Rita, and the Inquisition brought down the entire Helghast plot and succeded in the destruction of the Helghast's Core on the Planet Killer. Without that, the massive battleship was no longer the destroyer of Worlds but an Ordinary Battleship. A powerful one none the less, but The entire Sector was once again safe.

Roddy had resigned from his official spot in the Inquisition after that, Rita and Him had left to once again travel the stars as Freelancers. He still however, had his Sword and His Hecuter 9 pistol, and the small 'I' medallion around his neck.

"Roddy! You lazy ass, stop daydreaming and go and check the coolant tanks!" Shouted Rita, startling Roddy bank into reality. "Finaly! You have been sitting there for about half an hour, staring out the window!"

"Sorry, Rit, m'dear, just remebering old times then!"

"Well, strat thinking of new times and get down to the lower decks! The cheif engineer needs you!"

"Yes, Drill sergeant mam! I'll get right on it! Don't whip me please!" he said sarcasticly and kissed her on the check before walking out the door. "Call me if we get there! Don't want to miss any of the fighting!"

Rita shook her head, "Whatever am I going to do with you Roddy..." She smiled "Damn, It's good he DID find me on that god forsaken rock. She sat down at the main ordanace chair.

"Nav officer, How till we pick up this Scum on our scanners!"

"Should be long now, miss Rita, We pinged a Small scout deep in the asteroids, probably 100k off to starboard!" The man responded from his station in the navigation pit.

"Alright! Keep me up-to-date!" She sat walked over to the small gally at the back of the bridge and poured herself a cup of Synthetic Citrus Re-Invigoration Drink, often found on-board millitary and freelancer vessles to keep the crew away and refreshed, though they soon learned to hate its generic flavor (ooc: Think of 'Tang©').

"What-ho Captain! Speak of the devil! We got a rouge Gunboat ahead accompined by what appears to be 10 bloodhounds."

"Already? Call Roddy to the bridge and hit the master Switch, were going to combat mode!" She leaded over the back of the ordinance chair, placed the beverage in the holder and grabbed the two joysticks. Roddy's voice came through her personal through mic and earpeice;

"The coolant leak was bad, but me and the Cheif Engineer were able to temporaily patch it. I send in a request to the mates at Alster Shipyard to get us some replacement parts and hopefully they can responsed without asking too many questions as to where the Dodger came from."

"Alright! We have hostiles so hurry up! We need you to do the combat piloting!"

"I know! IM already at the main lift, I should be at the Bridge in 30 seconds!"

The screens of all eight of the dodgers turrets glowed on. They had been set to fire forwrds and the tagets were all displaying the same rock, a few hundred meters ahead. Rita manipulated the controls, aiming the guns around. The screens all moved together and aimed at the same target. Tapped a few buttons and the port turrets when to the left joystick and the starboard to the right. They all seamed to be functioning. The glowing touch screens showed the power bars of the guns. A quick slide of her finger took the power from the Starboard battle razor and put it into the Port.

Setting everything abck to starderd, she ajusted her seat as Roddy ran though and sat in the pilot chair.

"Alright mates! Lets rock and roll and kick some rouge ass!"

"Setting target on the Pirate gunboat!" Said an officer from the deck. Through the purple Nebula, a FFI went on and Rita aimed the turrets towards it. She felt the dodger move slight as Roddy ajusted it to give her a better aim.

Red beams lacerated the haze and hit the shield, The baneful energies were absored and the Dodger Responded with a blast from its Inferno Cannon. The Rouge Captain knew he was introuble. When he had been told a gunboat was coming after him he thought that he would be fighting something with a little less punch.

"Rita! His sheilds are almost down! Switch to the main cannon after the next Inferno blast! I can get to a good location around this large asteroid!

"Aye! Thanks Roddy!"

With a silent flash, the rouge Gunboats sheilds flared down and it fled. It ran into a tunnel in a large asteroid and turned off its engines, hoping to conceal its location. Rita, Knew better, she set full power to the forward cannon and the Battle Razors.

THe beams of pure death smashed the obsidian rock, punching through it and hitting the Rouge Gunboat. It had thought to be invisible but with its powerdown, the battle razors made short work of it and it exploded.

Roddy hit a few buttons and the main hold opened up, he had hoped form some survivors. He quickly spun the lumbering gunboat around; "Rita, take out the remaining fighters, they are only bloodhounds, shouldn't be much a fight now that the heavy stuff is dead!"

"This is the fun bit!" Rita said and set the guns to Stardboard to Right Joystick and Port to Left. Sitting back and letting her fingers do all the work, the guns flashed out and ships exploded, one of them even got infront of the Dodger and she hit it with the forward cannon for some kicks. There were no survivors from that particular ship.

However one of the bloodhounds flew straight at the Dodger and when teh Order produced beams strcuk it, it aborbed them and flew too the side.

"Scanning station! Thats not an ordinary bloodhound!"

"Your right!" Replied the officer. "Scanners show it has a really high weapon and sheild energy reading! Showing class 9 guns and a Class 10 sheild!"

"Damn! Must be something new these Liberty Scumbags developed! Switching to battle razors!"

"A comm channel has opened up over the Universal frequency!" Said the Comm's officer.

"Why, if it isn't Roddy and Rita! With MY ship! How many years ago was it, when I was still with the mollies and we had the biggest heist New London Had seen! And you two ruined it!"

With that the pilot strafed the side of the Dodger, its guns taking its sheilds down to about 80% before it pulled away. "Before I take my leave, The n ame is Lt Wodgiss, of the Rouges, I'll be seeing you around! I have no intention of Dying today!"

With that, the strange figure in his Super bloodhound sped off towards the california Jump gate.

ooc: PArt 7 is NOT done, but I am being force away from teh comp :'( I'll finish it tomorrow!
