Should the Order be "out there"?

A carrier seems unnecessary if it's reconnaisance in systems other than the Omicrons that is being discussed. Fighters are quite capable of traveling long distances by themselves. Carriers exist to resupply and re-equip those fighters. But the fighters here should ideally (in my mind) be from a civilian shipline, capable of docking on civilian bases and thus can get parts and whatnot sold by civilians. A carrier is just inviting hostility. A recon cruiser sounds alright, just so long as it sticks to the Border Worlds and Edge Worlds. Can't imagine it would be too welcome in house space.

Well, Liberty is the exception to that, since all Order ships are shot down or told to leave there. Guess carriers/cruisers could head into Liberty if necessary.
