"Real life" is not a videogame, and there is no way that a band of criminals would be able to take on and cripple the military forces of a House.

And "videogame" is not "Real life". If "videogame" was "real life", we would be flying shuttles around, being stuck in orbit and taking 6 months to get off the starting planet using combustible 1 time fuels.

Wrong. Consider, for example, just how stupid it would be for the thugs on your nearby street corner to attack the nearby military base.

And for argument's sake, let's deal with this one. What if those thugs took out 2 or 3 cops that were getting in the way of drug smuggling. That would weaken the police force, allowing the thugs some room to breathe. And they can always hide, in their friendly ol' neighborhood Badlands.

There's just no way to keep comparing Freelancer to real life. In real life, the Liberty Navy would be like the Army and the National Guard.. except the unlawfuls they deal with have equivalent firepower. On a strict Rogue vs. Liberty, the only thing Rogues lack is a long-range deployment vessel such as a Carrier, but that is irrelevant to them since they have so many hidden bases throughout Liberty. They do not have a Dreadnaught or Battleship class vessel, but they have many smaller, hit and run fighters, which is good to see. In modern day "real life", the Army has guns, planes, tanks, advanced radars, etc. while the unlawfuls have sticks, stones, some possible light heavy weapons, and AK47s.
