Revolutionary ID?

Use roleplay to define your goals and motives, not an ID. Since few people seem to know the difference, a pirate ID would work, and an IFF appropriate to your location an agenda. Also, using civilian tech is a good idea. Almost all of the revolutionist groups in vanilla used civilian tech.

I think (correct me if I'm mistaken) what the thread starter meant is that a true revolutionary, perhaps looking to find others who meet his ideals, would rather not be labeled a Pirate with the generic Pirate ID.

As for the Vigilante ID, that could be used for those rebelling against the pirates they used to call brothers. I don't exactly recall how it's worded, but I don't think you could use it to kill lawfuls like police or navy.

Point of my post:
There is one ID that people seem to be forgetting about here; the Freelancer ID. It's a go anywhere and do anything ID that lets you hunt both lawfuls and unlawfuls. It would also fit as a generic "Revolutionary" ID as well, until one chose to join one of the more specific revolutionist groups available around the known systems.

As for SCRA and their close knit and closed club: who cares? The only difference between you and Xeno is location and you have say as to who gets the ID. Doesn't bother me one way or the other, what SCRA does, doesn't do, wants, doesn't want. I'd rather be a Xeno anyway, more chance for genuine RP action than SCRA. Y'all are pretty much stuck out in the edge systems anyway.
