Should the Order be "out there"?

If the Corsair alliance wasn't there, and that their enemies were those under Nomad influence, as well as, of course, Bounty Hunters, it would be much better, as opposed to being enemies of anything the Corsairs dislike.

Right not, being so tightly linked to the Corsairs hurts the Order's individuality and character, unfortunately.

So, I'll abstain, since there is no 'Yes, with conditions'.

As stated elsewhere, an alliance doesn't necessarily mean that the two factions have to be completely aligned diplomatically. All an alliance needs is a mutual enemy or two, and they are willing to work together to accomplish a goal. I actually have no problem with the Order being allied to both the Blood Dragons and the Corsairs at the same time because those two factions would never meet. They could even be allied to Bretonia because of the special roleplay the Order has, namely that they don't help human group against others, but humans against aliens.

The Order-Corsair alliance formed out of a military necessity that, if you read the in game text, developed because of the situation in the Omicrons. Outcasts are genetically altered by cardamine and are active in a nefarious plot to subdue the rest of the human race. BHG thought they could scoot in and wipe out the small group easily, so they were hostile. The Corsairs were savage and bloodthirsty, but they had been fighting against the Nomads for much longer than anyone else in Sirius had known about them. That is the reason. Stop acting like this thing sprang up from nowhere.

I would like to take a step back and offer a plea for everyone to stop altering some faction's alliance on the simple prospect that "if they're allied to Corsairs/Outcasts/Whoever, they will roleplay and act just like them." An alliance doesn't mean a faction must obey the bigger one's decisions. If Order players are taking cues from Corsairs, then perhaps they need step up to the plate instead of complaining about it. You didn't create an Order character? Hmmm, perhaps you should try and work on it and then come back and offer criticism. Changing diplomacy on the infocard doesn't mean that faction will suddenly become independent, that is for the players to decide.
