Many conspiracy theories have arisen in Sirius. One longstanding theory has been, that even though people, in sirius, seem to have free will, they are all puppets on a string, waiting to be pulled. The PuppetMasters, the ones who really decide what happens in Sirius, are The Grey Men. This Conspiracy Theory has been debated, by loons and wackos alike, however no solid evidence of their existence has been brought forward.


The idea behind these Grey Men is that all major events in Sirius, are staged by The Grey Men, For Profit, Amusement, and Power. It has been rumored that the Current Wars between Liberty/Rheinland and Kusari/Bretonia was a staged matter, in retaliation for the abrupt unveiling of the long lost house of Gallia. As the story goes, The Grey Men had based a majority of their power and assets in Gallia, and had secreted it away, with no plans to reveal its existence. However when the Council breached the Mine Field set by GRN fleets, and breached into Bretonian space, the sudden revealing of their secret system, led the Grey Men to retaliate. Fearing that one of the other 4 houses would attempt to secure an upperhand by establishing a base of power in Gallia, the Grey Men staged the war between the other 4 houses, in an attempts to keep their Military Resources close to home, and out of Gallia.

The Grey Men have....according to Conspiracy Theorists, been involved in several other major events in Sirius. One note worthy Event, that these Grey Men have been accused of, was the Nomad war of 804-806 A.S. According to rumor, Several High Ranking officials, within Rhienland, Made a bet with several other Officials, apparently stating that They (the officials from rheinland) could assume a majority control of Grey Men Power.....however when the others found out, they intended to do this, by spreading the nomad infection, they viewed this as a breach of betting terms. Strings were being pulled in the different houses, but a wild card appeared in the form of a young freelancer named Edison Trent. His involvment in this Nomad war, and the mysterious appearance of the order, and its allies, was enough to tip the balance of power back from the Rheinland Grey Men and into the other houses. As retalition, for this inisidious plot, it is rumored that the Grey Men tampered with the Rheinland Stock Exchange, limiting assets, causing the current wave of Liberty victories against Rheinland.

It has been heatedly Debated by Conspiracy Theorists that the Sirius Grey Men staged the war between The Order and The Bounty Hunters Guild, however, this is the one area that no Theorists can agree. Many Theorists, while disagreeing on other points, agree that a war between the 2 factions was inevitable. The Bounty Hunters Guild are often referred to as technology whores, seeking the best of everything in their pursuit of profit. On the other side, The Order has been called a hinderence on Sirius Technology. Either way, many theorists agree that certain technology the order has been rumored to have, would be better to be kept off the largescale sirius market. Things such as fighter cloaking devices, nomad technology, among other things, have been labeled, "too dangerous". Even though many theorists disagree with the Grey Men involvement in this particular faction war, a select few stick to their guns, believeing its all staged, for some sick game, or for profit. Either way, no substantial evidence has been provided to prove/disprove these claims, just as nothing has been submitted to prove/disprove the existence of these mysterious grey men.

The Deaths| themselves have been drawn into the Conspiracy Community, like it or not, as many people theorize that the lack of knowledge about the Groups past, or even detailed information about their personal lives leaves much to imagination. It has also been said, that they act more like a "spook" cell, then an actual freelancer group. Many theorists agree, that the basis of most freelancers, fall into similar personality traits to Edison Trent. Lone Wolf, and anti-social seem to be the iconic trademarks of a freelancer. In some instances freelancers have been known to work in small groups 2 or 3 men or women, but nothing as large scale as the Deaths|. Another observation by some theorists, is that the Deaths| work and operate more like a government Hit squad, then a ragtag band of Freelancer drifters. Either way, one thing is agreed upon, the Deaths| are good at what they do. Even this has cast doubts, and led to speculation, but, since no rock hard evidence has been released, to state the Deaths| are anything but freelancers, this is still just a rumor, whispered on neural net forums.
