kusari is an effective shield. - for a long time, mercs and generally NPC factions leaning towards ( independent [literally independent] ) chars was unfriendly to hostile. - BHGs were mostly banned as a whole. - kusari has effectivly banished their only major traderoute ( diamonds / niobium ) by declaring it ooRP for many ( and who would want to be ooRP ) ..... other trade like plutonium is harmed in RP terms, too ( not freely allowed ).
kusari is rather dead, compared to other houses. - a shieldbelt against many players. its just uncomfortable to even be there.
then on the other side, there are the keepers. - nomad systems so powerful in terms of NPC and defense - and also declared everone passing thorugh to be ooRP - that there s no incursion from there either. ( why fly to alpha as a BHG core, when you don t need to pass an NPC system blowing your ship up to go to gamma )
from gallia, there is a maze of mines that you gotto figure out.... a lot of work .... for what?
kusari itself is hardly interested in alpha... and so the system is rather...... dull. ( in terms of activity against it )
on the other side, we have a boiling couldren. - gamma, embedded between hessians, the coalition, and the core. - keepers also attack it sometimes ( they don t attack the outcasts of course ) - there s just a lot more "fun". - of course you get the occasional "you *****, you attack our two helpless and poor fighters with a battleship and 6 bombers..... but in the end, everyone should be very happy about it. - the alternative might be that no one ever goes there.
when you isolate yourself, you become isolated from the rest ( and thats the point of being isolated ) - kusari isolated itself from others.... it worked.
liberty for example allows players to be and do what they wish a lot more. - you get a lot more problems. - but you also get a lot more fun.
what reason should any group have to invade alpha? - stop the smuggle? stop outcast guards that guard a system no one is interested in?
