*Several weeks after the Manhattan Massacre*

Lt Commander John Reynolds sat on the bridge of the LNS Sacramento. They had just finished a patrol of Texas allong with the Gunboats Columbia and Destiny. They had destroyed several Rhineland fighters and a Gunboat, and were returning to Baltimore shipyard for repairs.

A shiver went up Reynolds' spine, something didn't feel right. The orders the Sacramento received prior to the "Manhattan Massacre" from Rear Admiral Blackwood had troubled him, but he carried them out nonetheless.

You are to make sure the protest is destroyed at all costs.

He hadn't wanted to do it, but this was the Navy, so he did. It still felt wrong, and Reynolds was afraid for some reason. Enough to make him consider resigning and running off into the Borderworlds. His XO, Lieutenant Rick Detroit, was going to resign with him, as well as the Tactical Officer, Ensign Alston.

A voice shook him from his disturbed thoughts. "Commander, 5 clicks away from the Shipyard. Beginning docking procedures." said the Ensign manning the helm.

"Bring us in Ensign."

He noticed something on the viewscreen, seconds before the sensor Officer said;

"Commander, Columbia and Destiny are breaking off."

"Hail them Ensign, ask them what there doing."

The Comm officer responded. "No response sir, wait a minute, comms are down! Long, short and intership!"

Reynolds and Detroit looked at each other a moment, then Reynolds began;

"Ensign, stop us and try to fix the-"

He was interrupted by the sounds of a gunshot, he turned around, seeing that the sensor Officer had produced two concealed sidearms and had begun shooting the bridge crew systematically.

"Ensign, what the Hell-gah!"

he said, as three rounds ripped into his chest. As he lay there bleeding out his last coherent thought was;

Damn cover ups....

The LSF Operative put his concealed weapons back in there hidden holsters, and observed the carnage around him. The entire bridge crew was obviously dead, so he stepped over Commander Reynolds' body, walked to the tactical panel, pulled Ensign Alston's body off of it, and tapped in a series of commands that released nerve gas on all decks except the bridge, a precaution for intruders, and set the hidden antimatter bomb in the main plasma conduit to go off.

Then he walked over to the helm, pulled the helm officer's corpse off of it, and set a course that would collide it with a half-constructed Albatross transport moored to the Shipyard, and set the reactor to overload a few seconds after collision.

Then he quickly donned an EV suit he found in a side storage locker, opened the emergency hatch, and activated the suit's built-in thrust pack, and into the open cargo hold of a waiting CSV.

He took off his EV suit, killed the pilot (the less people that knew about the operation the better), and sat back for the destruction of the Sacramento, which went exactly according to plan. A grim smile on his face, he brought the ship around and set course for the RV coordinates, as LPI Towing, Salvage, and Medevac ships took off from Fort Bush to the scene of the "accident".

No one noticed the "lone junker CSV" as it flew off in what looked like the direction of Rochester of course.....
