A combined AW, BS and HF strike force attacks California


The combined strike force of the Asgard Warriors, Black Squadron and the Hellfire Legion assaulted today the California minor planet. In an intrepid move, they bombarded the planet targeting the Military Installations of that planet. It is not yet confirmed, but it seems that military bases, weapons cache, and some supply depots were destroyed.

The casualties are yet being counted, but we have rumours that most of them are from military forces stationed there. Civilian deaths are expected. But not in great numbers.


We have interviewed the Supreme Commander Korrd, who leaded this assault. He refused to make any comments about it, but he said to the press that

"This attack has been performed to bring this pointless war to a swift end. We are going to destroy all the military bases, stations, outposts and vessels of the enemy in an attempt to bring them back to the negotiation table. We will not touch the civilian population because they have little to do with the desitions of their leaders."

[font=Book Antiqua]So here it is. Our forces are not trying to massacre the civilian population as it was rumoured before. They are trying to force this foe to negotiate peace or surrender.

We have obtained some images from the Flight recorder of one of the ships involved in the battle:


The beginning. A LSF fighter trying to stop us. He got killed. (he was lvl 16. But as he was on a clan battle site and attacking us, the self defence rule and clan battle rule overrode the lvl rule).


The fleet, bombing the military installations of the SA. Here, targeting a weapons cache in a far part of the planet.






The BSG to the rescue! Here, the fleet decimating the Galactica: (killed once. Almost twice. So that is [almost] heavy damage, not death)








CCE shows up to help in the defence. Wonder who will defend them: (killed once. So that is damage, not death)




Are they Suicide?

Yep. I guess they are.

Tragedy also hit our lines too. The Denelo was severely damaged. (Read, killed once)



After that. The strike force retreated to the Vespucci system. Home of our allies and friends, the HF.

Here concludes our report. We wish good luck to our heroic soldiers and allies. Who fight to bring this war to a quick end.

OOC: It was a hell of a fight. Both sides fought well and honourably. We experienced a bit of lag tough.
Remember that this post is from the AW news service. Don't expect impartiality here. It's dramatized a bit, although the events described here are are not altered from reality. All casualties of both sides are being shown. Except for the part right after the bombardment, where a SA LF delayed us in the Magellan JG. We could not take him as he was too maneuverable and lagging like hell. So we ignored him and went straight to the mission at hand.
