Hudson is a pretty neat system in my opinion. Back in my smuggler days, I always used it as the connection of choice between Liberty and Rheinland. The militaries of both houses rarely patrol the routes which lead out of there. (I guess you know which I mean.)
The greedy Junkers can reach Puerto Rico easily and Rheinland unlawful smugglers can breach the border with various routes, especially when allied to the Unioners and the LWB. (Hudson - Duesseldorf - Saar - Stuttgart) You won't EVER be annoyed by police or militaries.
