-Need help changing the ship model into a .cmp/proper file type for freelancer
Export the model to .3ds. Import into Milkshape, export as .CMP
-Need to figure out how to transfer the current texture mappings into the game along with the model
Convert all textures to .dds, and then reapply them in MS3d. Use .MAT exporter.
-Need to hardpoint the model (have no idea how to do this)
Use HardCMP, select the hardpoint you want to add. Hold down ctrl and click where you want it. Use the numbers and buttons on the right to make hardpoints symmetrical.
-Need to adjust the current ship's stats if this is to replace the bulldog (add two mining laser hardpoints, adjust ship power output and manuverability to be on par with other gallic HF's, need to adjust cargo so that the ship has some use as a mining/salvaging vessel)
All of these are edited using entries in "shiparch.ini" which can be found in Freelancer/DATA/Ships.
Find a ship you want to copy, search for it and copy it over.
