My impression of this is that suggested faction is some kind Rheinland-based Order-alike group, perhaps with some religious/inquisition undertones/style to it.

Either way it clearly need some fixing. Not a bad idea but some elements of it fall out of picture and are dodgy thoughts at best.

It was not my intension to speak for someone else, i was just offering a possible story how a outcast might have joined the Inquisition. But i see that the gunboat is the biggest concern at the moment.
